The Riverview Tennis Club is pleased to host a live Beatles jam to celebrate the 2009 tennis season with another Tri-Community Moncton tennis social. The event is open to all three tennis clubs, players, friends and families and interested parties across the area. Dieppe Tennis, Moncton Tennis and Riverview Tennis Clubs are all encouraged to come to the party and have some fun. Tennis players are again thrilled to work with Turning Points a local organization dedicated to assisting young people who happen to be a parent with mentoring, access to training and support in difficult times as a partner in the event. A 50/50 draw will be available with proceeds going to Turning Points. There is no cover charge and no court fees for this event.

On Saturday July 18 “Any Time At All” explain to your “Honey Pie” better half “Dear Prudence” or perhaps “Hey Jude” that “I‘ve Got A Feeling” and “Its been a Hard Day As Night” so you want to play tennis. You do not have to go “Across The Universe” or “Back to the USSR” rather just say “Baby You Can Drive My Car” to “ The Long and Winding Road” to “Get Back” to the Clay Courts at the bottom of Biggs Drive. You can also get there by “Yellow Submarine” down the Petitcodiac. You will want to be there “Because” you will have some fun. We know “Happiness is a Warm Tennis Racquet” but “It Won’t Be long” until July 18 and hopefully it won’t “Rain” so be sure and bring your tennis shoes with the “Rubber Sole” and “Meet The Beatles”. Even “Sgt Pepper” and “Long Tall Sally” will be there. Don’t miss this great event to celebrate 2009 Tennis season Sat July 18 – It will be groovy.

RTC Staff creates YouTube Tennis Video

A cool tennis video explaining clay court tennis at RTC was uploaded to YouTube. The video clip is accessible from the Web site video clips menu and features Nick and Mark on staff at RTC. The music was written and performed by Nick and the script is amusing but informative. It is worth a look. The clip can also be accessed directly on You Tube by searching the keywords Riverview Tennis.
