RE: Indoor Tennis Facility Summit
The Atlantic Tennis Alliance (ATA) and Tennis NB will be hosting an indoor tennis facility summit on Saturday October 18th, 2008 at The Best Western, Moncton in the The “Petitcodiac” room from 10am – 1pm. This summit will focus on partners in the Greater Moncton region.
The Atlantic Tennis Alliance and its provincial partners are in the final stages of developing a 4 year strategic plan for facility development in Atlantic Canada. The lack of indoor courts in Atlantic Canada and more specifically New Brunswick is a major issue in our region and must be addressed in the years ahead. It is critical to begin to develop infrastructure that will meet our increasing tennis development needs.
Greater Moncton is currently a vibrant tennis community with three major club operations. The region has successfully hosted 3 successful u16 junior nationals in Dieppe and most recently hosted the professional men’s Moncton Challenger in Moncton. The Building Tennis Community strategy has also grown the game at the very important grass roots level through the implementation of schools programs and community team tennis.
I invite you to take part in this important event: The Summit will have the following agenda:
ü Review Tennis Canada and ATA strategic plan – Facility Development
ü Putting Greater Moncton in Context – Opportunity for development
ü Generating Ideas and Interest – An open discussion on indoor facility development
See you there,
ATA, Tennis Canada

She is formally studying the subject at a local university and is positioned to advise club members seeking help around nutrition and tennis.
A cool tennis video explaining clay court tennis at RTC was uploaded to YouTube. The video clip is accessible from the Web site www.riverviewtennis.ca video clips menu and features Nick and Mark on staff at RTC. The music was written and performed by Nick and the script is amusing but informative. It is worth a look.
